About Penghu
The Penghu Islands consist of 64 islands located between China and Taiwan in the Taiwan Straits with a distance from Taiwan at the closest point of 45 Km. The islands are formed by volcanic activity and are relatively flat and since the total average annual rainfall is no more than 100 cm and since most of the rain is deposited during typhoons, optimal sunshine conditions for a resort hotel are at hand, this coupled with the warm sub-tropical climate make it ideal for a year-round hotel resort.
The 3 main islands connected by bridges forming a "horse shoe" shape create a perfect inland sea suitable for wind surfing and other water related activities. Superb coral reefs and Crystal clear water around the islands makes Penghu a premium diving location with everything from whales, dolphins, sea turtles and numerous fish species living in the sea around the islands on the corral reefs. The islands also have extensive bird colonies and a very unique fauna. The islands are designated as a protected nature reserve, so utmost care during the implementation of the project to ensure the nature is protected is paramount.
Fongkue Beach is located on a small peninsula at the Southeast part of the Makung Island, facing the sea to the West so guests can enjoy the setting evening sunset overlooking the private white corral sand beach. To the North and South the beach area of the property protrudes into the sea forming natural barriers with black basalt stone seashores. The South tip of the peninsula and to the West of the property the land is designated as "green areas", thereby ensuring no other project can be built and that the property visually is extended beyond our boundaries in a positive way. To the South is the small Fongkue fishing village with its 3 marinas accessible to our resort. |
